Welcome to Magnolia Trace Farms.   We are Marty and Janie Tripp and we own a small farm in South Central Mississippi dedicated to producing beautiful Heritage Cattle, Belted Galloway and Dutch Belted and TexMaster meat goats.  We also raise high quality Bermuda hay and a few commercial cattle.  We are approximately 60 miles south of Jackson and 100 miles north of New Orleans off of I 55 in Brookhaven Mississippi.

Our goals with these cattle are to produce, preserve and promote high quality heritage breeding stock.

Although I have been around cattle much of my life we are new to the heritage cattle.  We are very excited to be a part of promoting, producing and preserving these wonderful breeds. Please spend some time exploring our links and discover the fascinating world of these and other Heritage breeds for yourself.  Our Belted Galloway bloodlines include;  Stonecroft, Aldermere, Prock Ridge and Hide-A-Way Hill. The Dutch Belted bloodlines include; Bohnview, Brink and Bestyet.

TexMaster Meat Goats

In 2006 we purchased 2 does and 1 buck from Onion Creek Ranch in Lohn… Texas.   Our TexMaster meat goat herd currently consists of 12 Fullblood does and 1 buck. It is a great pleasure to raise these goats and our goal is simply to promote the breed. I believe TexMaster meat goats are the best suited goat to naturally thrive in the climate conditions of the Deep South.  Please read the testimonials in the TexMaster site. We have retired our original herd sire and in 2009 we are using BTR Trapper in our breeding program.  BTR Trapper is a Bending Tree Ranch buck and we are very thankful to be able to infuse this bloodline into our herd.  Check our goats for sale page in the spring/summer for some wonderful offspring of this buck.  

We recently purchased a new Herd Sire from Bending Tree ranch that will be ready for the fall 2010 breeding season. The future is bright for this great breed; please contact us and we would be very glad to share with you why we believe so strongly in the TexMaster breed.
